3D Print
A sculpture from the 13th century, 3D printed from the Metropolitan Museum of Art digital archive.
To recreate the look and texture of a clay sculpture, I experimented with a technique that mixes baking soda with acrylic paint. The baking soda fills in the seams between the layer lines while adding texture to the surface, helping to conceal the lines created during the 3D printing process. The amount of baking soda can be adjusted depending on how textured of a finish is desired.
